History of Ashwood Football Netball Club
Founded in 1985, Ashwood's origins come from a merger between Burwood and Essex Heights football clubs. Based on the borders of Ashwood and Mount Waverley since, the club has expanded and transitioned through leagues, now playing in the Southern Football Netball League (SFNL).

A New Era: Under 19s Football at AFNC
In 2024, Ashwood FNC made the historic move to field a U19s team for the first time in its history. The team is still active and is currently coached by Peter Tzitzivakos, captained by Owen Mali, Ryan Granig and Campbell Knight and competes in the 2nd Division of the SFNL.
